The NFT Genesis Collection sale has two main objectives; funding the movie and supporting emerging artists.
The Collection is made up of 10,499 NFTs (the number is inspired by the block number in which EIP1559 was activated), of which 9,499 will be up for sale. The remaining 1,000 will be distributed among the movie team (producers, director, script writers, cast, production companies, etc…), NFT collection team (developers, marketers, etc.) and the rest will be set aside for marketing purposes (giveaways, community incentives etc…).
Distribution of proceeds has been studied in two phases, before the movie budget is covered, and after the movie budget is covered.
The movie has a tentative $16M budget. It will be funded through a mix of NFT sales and traditional funding.
Before the Movie Budget is Covered
Distribution of primary and secondary sales:
22.5% in an equal basis amongst the 36 intervening artists
10.0% to a community treasury pool used to seed The Infinite Machine DAO
67.5% to cover the movie budget up to $16M. That number may be reduced depending on the amount of funds raised via traditional means.
After the Movie budget is covered
Distribution of secondary trading fees and any other revenues from all collections:
22.5% will be received by the artists in this collection
25.0% will be received by the NFT Collection core team and contributors
52.5% will be used to fund a community pool to seed The Infinite Machine DAO
